Biography
A Belgian rock musician first gained notice through his involvement with Evil Superstars, the group in which he collaborated with guitarist Mauro Pawlowski before Pawlowski joined dEUS. The band captured a prominent rock competition, and Vanhamel later launched his own outfit, Millionaire. He ultimately shifted toward a solo career, issuing his first album, Welcome to the Blue House, on the PIAS label in January 2008. Far less rooted in rock than his earlier band projects, the record drew comments from segments of the Belgian rock press suggesting an “easy listening” quality, whatever that may mean. During the same year he also shared stages with Eagles of Death Metal.
