Biography
Jazz guitarist Tim Volpicella developed his skills during studies at the Berklee School of Music with such respected figures as John Abercrombie, John Scofield, David Liebman, and John Stowell. After completing his education, he went on to perform alongside acts and musicians that include the John Carlton Orchestra, bassist Chuck Israels, Chet Baker, Larry Schneider (Bill Evans), Duke Jethro (BB King), and Russell Ferrante (Yellow Jackets). Along with putting out his own album Unspoken Words, Volpicella has led clinics and taught guitar at various colleges including Sierra Nevada College, Stanford University, Cal State Hayward, and Central Oregon Community College, and he works as a product demonstrator for the Chapin guitar company.
