Timcast

Timcast serves as the performing alias for Tim Pool, the political commentator and social media personality who also runs a widely followed podcast bearing that identical title. Having first gained experience in 2011 while participating in the Occupy Wall Street demonstrations, Pool issued the single “Will of the People” in 2020, a track infused with Libertarian themes and modern rock sensibilities. In 2022 he joined forces with Pete Parada, formerly the drummer for The Offspring, on the alt-rock song “Only Ever Wanted,” which climbed to the number two position on the international Apple Music chart. Characterizing the apolitical number in a message to his online audience, Pool called it his “first foray into seizing back the cultural spaces dominated by establishment institutions that hate you.” Further explorations of personal difficulties and socio-political tensions appeared on later releases, among them the 2022 track “Genocide (Losing My Mind)” and the 2024 single “Coming Home,” the latter featuring a contribution from Phil Labonte, frontman of All That Remains.
