Biography
Timmy Wells first developed concepts for material on Kids! We Are the Future after a colleague teaching kindergarten in Louisiana's Orleans Parish asked for classroom tools to support spelling lessons. Before long he had written pieces such as "Twelve Months a Year" and "Spell the Numbers," intended for children through fifth grade. Under his legal name Timothy Weller, he has spent nearly twenty years teaching music and voice while also performing with the Louisiana ensemble Moe Betta and directing KiddieCorp Music, an enterprise centered on educational recordings. Stage credits include appearances with the Coasters, Andy Gibb, and Bill Haley's Comets. In 1985 he completed a master's degree in chorale conducting at the University of New Orleans.
