Biography
In 1968, the obscure Australian pop/rock outfit Tin Tin assembled as a quartet consisting of Steve Kipner on keyboards, percussion, and vocals, Steve Groves on guitars, percussion, and vocals, Johnny Vallins on bass, guitar, and vocals, and Geoff Bridgford on drums. The group delivered two albums early in the 1970s, both overseen by the Bee Gees' Maurice Gibb, who supplied assorted instruments as well: a self-titled debut in 1970 that yielded the single "Toast and Marmalade for Tea," followed by the 1971 release Astral Taxi. The four musicians disbanded in 1973.
