Biography
Emerging from Argentina during the early 1990s, the alternative metal outfit Tintoreros—assembled by Japanese descendants—quickly established itself on the Buenos Aires club circuit. Involvement in the Alta Tensión compilation paved the way for Sr. Flavio of Los Fabulosos Cadillacs to helm production of the band’s debut full-length, Primate, which surfaced on MTV Latino through the single “Nunca.” The group followed with the 1997 EP Traición. Pablo Guyot and Alfredo Toth, both ex-members of GIT, oversaw work on the subsequent release Chas Park, issued by the independent Rashomon Records in October 2000.
