Tiny Animals

Tiny Animals came together in 2007, marking the first anniversary of the dissolution of frontman Chris Howerton’s earlier outfit Fighterpilot. His younger sister Rita Maye Howerton and bassist Philip Galitzine came aboard, allowing Howerton to quickly craft alt rock material for the new band; before the year closed, Tiny Animals began tracking with producer Darryl Neudorf. Though those sessions yielded a complete album, the group ultimately discarded the recordings and cut a follow-up on their own after former Fighterpilot bassist Anton Kreisl stepped in for Galitzine, who had moved on to Brooklyn-based Atomic Tom. The outcome was Sweet Sweetness, an alt rock and pop blend issued in 2009 via North Street Records.
