Tired Lion

Tired Lion, an Australian band, evoke the spirit of 1990s alternative rock with their energetic and bold indie rock songs centered around guitars. Vocalist and guitarist Sophie Hopes teamed up with guitarist Matt Tanner to form the project during their school years, later strengthened by drummer Ethan Darnell and bassist Nick Vasey. Their first EP, All We Didn't Know, came out in 2013, establishing them as fixtures in Perth's music community. Figurine, the next EP released in 2015, included the song "I Don't Think You Like Me," which broadened their audience significantly. Triple J, the national radio station, presented them with the Unearthed Artist award that year. In the subsequent year, they performed alongside Spiderbait and Violent Soho across Australia and traveled to Europe for several summer festivals plus their own headline shows. Their debut album was tracked in 2017 under the production of Violent Soho's Luke Boerdam. Dumb Days, the resulting album, came out in September and entered the official Australian charts.
