Tish Hyman

Latisha Hyman secured her standing in the commercial music business during the opening and middle years of the 2010s by supplying songwriting and guest vocal performances across multiple mainstream rap, R&B, and dance projects. A Bronx native who performs under the name Tish, she first competed in rap battles at her brother’s urging before turning toward the powerful vocal approach modeled by her mother and sister. Early notice arrived after she composed a track for up-and-coming vocalist Ahsan Watts, which opened the door to writing credits on 2013–2016 releases including B.o.B’s “Nobody Told Me,” Gorgon City’s “6AM,” Fabolous’s “You Made Me,” and Ty Dolla $ign’s “Horses in the Stable,” plus additional artists. In 2016 she issued the independent EP Dedicated To:, which featured return appearances by Ty and Fab on the track “Dreams.” Several months afterward, further visibility followed from multiple co-written songs on Alicia Keys’ Here, among them “Blended Family,” and from a guest turn on Diddy’s MMM. The 2017 single “What It Feels Like,” featuring Ty and DeJ Loaf, came next.
