Biography
Determining whether T.K. Gardner’s eight-string guitar performances belong to new-age, light jazz, or adult-contemporary proves elusive, yet the music delivers consistently rewarding listening. Much of what is marketed as space music turns out to be empty and insubstantial, but Gardner’s work combines an expansive sonic atmosphere with clear definition, tangible depth, and genuine integrity. In this respect it exemplifies the standard new-age music ought to meet. His only album, 8 X 10, can be difficult to locate in stores; copies may be ordered directly from Wildcard Records, P.O.
