Netherlands-based composer and keyboardist Tom Dissevelt joined forces with technician Kid Baltran, born Dick Raaijmakers, to craft some of the first electronic recordings during the closing years of the 1950s and the dawn of the 1960s. Their initial full-length release, Song of the Second Moon, arrived in 1957 and featured the pioneering electronic piece “Sonik Re-entry.” Although the pair issued the album Glas together in 1958 and followed it with the 7" single Electronic Movements the next year, Dissevelt brought in a new technician to replace Baltran for the 1964 solo project Fantasy in Orbit. Later Dissevelt material for orchestra and tape electronics was gathered under the title Intersection. During the early 2000s he prepared a CD survey covering Dutch popular and applied electronic music spanning 1956 to 1966.
