Biography
Tomas, a youthful singer, songwriter, and producer from New York’s Bronx, created rap tracks during the 1990s that advanced gay and feminist viewpoints, diverging sharply from the hypermasculine and anti-gay norms then dominant in the genre. His album Welcome to My Groove appeared in 1994.
