Biography
Hailing from Nashville, singer/songwriter Tommy Joe Wilson delivers a refined yet earthy sound inclined toward contemporary country anthems and ballads. Born in East Texas, he absorbed country music throughout his youth before turning to the creation and live presentation of his own material. In 2006, Stone Temple Pilots/Velvet Revolver lead singer Scott Weiland caught his set at a neighborhood tavern and promptly placed him on the newly launched SoftDrive Records roster. Wilson’s debut album, Tryin' to Find the Sun, appeared in 2009.
