A Brooklyn-based performer who sings, writes songs, and plays guitar, Tommy Siegel balances his time between creating anthemic yet artful indie rock and producing quirky, humorous cartoons. As a founding member of Jukebox the Ghost, he has performed with the group since the 2000s, and he stepped out on his own with the 2020 solo debut Another Century Wasted.

Born and raised in Richmond, Virginia, Siegel devoted much of his teenage years to sketching and performing with local rock groups. Following graduation, he enrolled at George Washington University, where he established the indie pop band Jukebox the Ghost in 2004. Throughout the subsequent ten years he toured and recorded extensively with the outfit, issuing Let Live and Let Ghosts in 2008, Jukebox the Ghosts in 2014, and Off to the Races in 2018. During this period he also started the noise rock project Drunken Sufis and, in 2014, formed the power pop-influenced Narc Twain. At the same time he earned recognition for his cartooning talent, often fulfilling on-the-spot drawing requests from fans during tours; that same year he gathered many of those drawings into the collection Van Doodles, Volume 1.

In 2020 Siegel issued his first solo album, Another Century Wasted, which reflected his affinity for melodic, Beatlesque pop. While laying down the tracks he also committed to completing one cartoon each day for 500 consecutive days, with several of the resulting images quickly spreading online.
