Contrary to the implication of their name, Too Many Gods refrained from positioning themselves as critics of religious belief. This Detroit five-piece instead channels an underlying glimmer of hope through its lyrics. Medea Records captured that sensibility on the band's 1998 full-length debut Lullaby by highlighting its hard-hitting techno-industrial approach.
