Biography
Collector publications often list exorbitant prices for LPs by little-known psychedelic outfits such as Top Drawer, the sums justified only by extreme scarcity. Scarcity by itself, however, seldom warrants those figures or any accompanying sense of loss. The young Kentucky group Top Drawer issued one such overvalued obscurity, its standard blues-inflected guitar lines, awkwardly inflated lyrics, and dependence on hard-rock mannerisms unmistakably rooted in 1969-1970. The record nevertheless received a reissue during the 1980s.
