Biography
Since the closing years of the 1990s, London space rock outfit Tram has sustained an active role in the United Kingdom’s independent music community. Frontman Paul Anderson, the quartet’s singer and songwriter, guides the group’s creation of psychedelic melodies that gain distinctive color from oboe and harmonium, the latter an organ-like keyboard. The small independent imprint Jetset placed Tram under contract, yielding the band’s first album, Heavy Black Flame, in autumn 1999. Follow-up release Frequently Asked Questions arrived in early 2001.
