Biography
Travis Pickle, a New York outfit, began life as a club band toward the end of the 1990s and played numerous rooms, chief among them the Luna Lounge. Fronted by Carla Capretto’s graceful vocals, the group cultivated a lush, clean pop style that also incorporated singing from guitarist Pete Min. Bassist Yianni Naslas and drummer Steve Wickins completed the quartet, which issued its debut disc in 1999 on Lunasea Records, the in-house label of the Luna Lounge. That adaptable recording illustrated the band’s taste for intelligent pop.
