Biography
In 2008 three Americans residing in Japan launched the alternative rock band TRE:S while enrolled at Temple University’s Tokyo campus, centering the project on the abilities of John Fotos, Nathan Alloy, and Sean McGee. Their music fuses anthemic, guitar-driven elements drawn from the “New Years Day"/”I Will Follow”-era U2 with Interpol-inspired post-rock and modern Brit-pop, performed in both English and Japanese. The outfit issued its debut EP, City of the Night, in February 2010.
