Trevor de Brauw

Trevor de Brauw established the guitar role in Pelican, the post-metal quartet formed in Illinois, and has since displayed remarkable output across an array of styles. As an instrumentalist drawn to layered textures and ambient approaches, he entered the post-rock landscape in the late 1990s and continued pushing the boundaries of intense music through several innovative projects such as Chord, Tusk, Teith, Bee Control, Let's Pet and Bionic Rat, alongside his primary ensemble. During 2016 he revealed plans for a first solo album. That project, the six-track Uptown assembled from more than ten years of accumulated pieces, appeared the next year on The Flenser, the label oriented toward experimental sounds.
