Biography
Hailing from Dallas, the five-piece Tricounty Terror fuses the provocative grit of 1980s Sunset Strip metal with urgent punk energy. The band formed in 2012 and features vocalist Tessa Terror (born Tessa Byrd), guitarist Kelsey Wilson, guitarist Erica Pipes, bassist Kelly, and drummer Andi Cuba. All five had prior experience across assorted projects yet converged around the visceral pull of loud, metallic rock. While operating her own business, Terror connected with Cuba after posting an online call for collaborators on Craigslist. The pair soon enlisted the remaining players, among them founding bassist Cera Johnson, and launched local shows throughout Dallas. Those gigs led to nationwide touring alongside acts such as ANTiSEEN, Saint Vitus, and Orange Goblin. In 2013 the group tracked an album under producer Rachel Bolan of Skid Row, then spent several years pitching the recordings before securing a deal with EMP Label Group in 2016. Revenge appeared on EMP the following year.
