Biography
Trigger the Bloodshed, an English death metal outfit, came together in Bath during 2006 under guitarists Rob Purnell and Martyn Evans. Drummer Max Blunos and vocalist Charlie Holmes entered the fold the next year, where they began sharpening the ensemble’s forceful sound into a brutal aural onslaught recalling classic extreme metal acts such as Napalm Death and Carcass. After earning repeated praise from the British press for its unforgiving live show, the band drew the attention of Metal Blade, which issued Trigger the Bloodshed’s electrifying debut Purgation in 2008.
