Biography
Trinity Dawson, a Houston, Texas singer, brings passion to his work in contemporary gospel and faith-based R&B. Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, he was raised in a devout household steeped in music, where his father performed alongside the Gap Band, Rick James, and the Followers of Christ. By age twelve, however, football had overtaken singing as his central pursuit. A full-ride scholarship carried him to the University of Toledo, where he started at running back for four years and finished third in school history in rushing yards. Although scouts viewed him as a strong NFL candidate, a hip injury sustained in his junior year closed that chapter. He then moved into business, advancing to the role of executive account manager at a Fortune 500 company. His commitment to music took hold while he served on the faith and worship team at Houston’s Fountain of Praise. Drawing inspiration from Israel Houghton, Fred Hammond, Stevie Wonder, and others, he issued his debut EP, With All I Am, in 2015. The set, featuring contributions from Grammy-winning singer/songwriter and producer Aaron Sledge, entered the Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart in the Top Five.
