Biography
Trolley delivers a radiant pop/rock sound anchored by an expert rhythm section, with two guitarist/vocalists positioned prominently at the front. The group formed in Milwaukee, Wisconsin during the mid-1990s, consisting of Paul Wall on vocals and guitar, Mike Perotto on guitar and vocals, Terry Hackbath on bass, and Nick Zahn on drums. Their debut recording, Love's a Twister, appeared in 1996, earning enthusiastic critical praise while establishing the start of a devoted following. The band's energetic pop songs rapidly distinguished themselves on the regional scene, resulting in greater demand for their performances. In subsequent years they released two further albums, Here Comes Summer and Star of Wonder, both of which achieved notable success. Trolley put out Head vs. Heart in 1999, only months before launching their first major tour alongside Reel Big Fish. Four years later the band returned with Last Chance Dance, which folded in influences from '60s rock and '70s punk, and then issued the '80s jangle pop-oriented Things That Shine and Glow in 2011.
