Emerging from New Jersey, rapper Tsu Surf initially gained recognition within the battle rap circuit by overpowering rivals through incisive lyrics and inventive phrasing. That same precision carries over to his studio recordings and stage performances alike, where he channels focused energy and range across releases such as the 2021 project Until Further Notice.

Born Rahjon Cox, he spent his New Jersey upbringing absorbing Jay-Z while honing his improvisational skills. By the early 2010s he had begun issuing his own material, enlisting collaborators including Joe Budden, Wale, and Kevin Durant for those initial efforts. Around the same period he also established himself as a prominent figure in battle rap competitions. Following several years of incarceration, he reappeared in 2019 with the album Seven 25, which included appearances by Mozzy and additional guests. This marked the start of an especially prolific stretch that saw him issue MSYKM in 2020, Until Further Notice in 2021, and the 2022 mixtape Disparu in quick succession. In October 2022 authorities took Tsu Surf into custody in Jersey City, New Jersey, on accusations involving racketeering and gang-related offenses.
