Biography
Established in 1993, the underground rap collective the Tunnel Rats spent their entire run defying mainstream hip-hop norms. Their fresh methods of lyric delivery, production techniques, and composition earned them recognition throughout the West Coast via guest spots on projects from Mars III, DJ Maj, Coalition, Deepspace 5, and the Grits, in addition to related efforts including LPG, New Breed, and Peace 586. Early in the 2000s they partnered with Seattle-based Uprok Records on the full-length Tunnelvision, which showcased LPG, New Breed, Sev Statik, Raphi, Zane, and Dert.
