Tyler Grant

Tyler Grant, a flatpicking guitarist, earned a B.F.A. in music performance upon completing his studies at the California Institute of the Arts. He became a member of Adrienne Young’s band in 2003, remaining for eighteen months of touring and appearing on the albums Plow the End of the Row and The Art of Virtue. In 2004 he also joined Casey and Chris and the Two-Stringers, whose release Get Along Girl includes his contributions. That fall he traveled to China with a bluegrass ensemble participating in a cultural exchange program. The first half of 2005 brought further road work with April Verch. November 2005 marked his entry into the Drew Emmitt Band. Alongside these ensemble duties, he finished the solo album In the Light, issued by FGM Records in June 2006.
