Under The Church

Emerging in 2012 from the remnants of pioneering Swedish death metal outfit Nirvana 2002, Under the Church operates as an unadorned, primal death metal outfit boasting a distinguished history. The core lineup consists of vocalist Mik Annetts, bass player Lars Henriksson, drummer/guitarist Erik Qvick, and guitarists Erik Wallin and Marcus Klack, all drawing inspiration from Autopsy, Venom, Bathory, Repulsion, Celtic Frost, Hellhammer, and Sodom. Following the release of their favorably received self-titled debut EP in 2014, the musicians turned their attention to recording a first full-length studio album. Pulverised Records issued the resulting Rabid Armageddon the next year.
