Unhuman Disease functions as the sole black metal endeavor of Nocturnus Dominus, also known as Neil Sequichie, who handles all writing, production, and performance duties from his base in Stilwell, Oklahoma. In addition to this project he has fronted Forbidden Eye, Rituals of a Blasphemer, Black Devotion, and several other groups. Among devotees of the genre worldwide he has cultivated a devoted following through his unwavering commitment to the sonic methods of the second wave together with an unflinching focus on themes of blasphemy, violence, and Satanism, all delivered via a dense sonic assault of nonstop blastbeats, buzzing guitars, and downtuned basslines.

Following the 2003 demo As My Blood Spills Upon Thy Altar, underground metal publications began to register his initial two albums, Evil Reigns Supreme from 2006 and Perpetuus Agonia from 2008, each pressed privately on CD-R in runs limited to 666 copies. Black Creations of Satan appeared in 2009 via Black Hate Productions in a pressing of 1,000 units and drew widespread critical acclaim. Into Satan’s Kingdom, tracked originally in 2007, surfaced the same year on Astrum Tempestas in a run of 100 cassettes.

Owing to his numerous parallel ventures and preference for seclusion, Nocturnus Dominus issued no further Unhuman Disease full-lengths until Dalla Benedizione del Diavolo in 2012 on Black Hate Productions and Glorification of Satanas in 2013 through Mexico City’s Embrace My Funeral Records. Those Who Preach Perdition arrived in 2014 as a split release with Sarkrista on Immortal Frost Productions. The same label enlisted the project once more the following year for the eight-track split The Shadows of Death’s Call alongside Silva Nigra, Inferna, and Sacrificium Carme. In 2016 Unhuman Disease placed De Templi Autem Veteris Serpentis with Washington State’s Moribund Records and entered into a formal agreement; the imprint subsequently launched an extensive reissue campaign that included a fully remastered edition of Dalla Benedizione Del Diavolo in 2020 and a repress of Glorification of Satanas in 2021.
