Biography
Veronika Bozeman, who performs under the names V. Bozeman or simply V, grew up in South Central Los Angeles, California, and works as a vocalist, songwriter, arranger, and producer. Her voice appears on several major R&B releases, among them Lloyd’s Street Love and King of Hearts, Rihanna’s Loud, Keri Hilson’s No Boys Allowed, and Diddy-Dirty Money’s Last Train to Paris. Timothy Bloom included her on the deeply affecting throwback ballad “‘Til the End of Time” in 2011; although the track received an eye-catching, stylized video, it climbed only to number 82 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Earlier sessions with Babyface and Cee Lo Green preceded the tighter creative bond she later formed with Timbaland, which led to her signing with his Mosley Music Group label and to on-screen appearances and performances in the musical drama series Empire. The first season of the show yielded two commercially issued recordings in 2015: the solo spotlight “What Is Love” and “Bad Girl,” on which she supported the more pop-directed R&B vocalist Serayah McNeil.
