Biography
Originating as a stripped-down four-track endeavor, the lo-fi collective Vår united visual artists and musicians Elias Bender Rønnefelt of Iceage, Loke Rahbek of Sexdrome, Kristian Emdal of Lower, and Lukas Højland. Taking cues from austere post-punk ensembles of the early eighties while embracing the saturated production style that defined much of the 2010s, the group aligned with Sacred Bones to release its first album, No One Dances Quite Like My Brothers. Captured in May 2012 inside the rear space of Heaven Street, a New York independent record shop, the set appeared in 2013.
