Verraco

Verraco, a Colombian producer, crafts densely layered club tracks that merge IDM's structural intricacy with soca, dembow, Brazilian funk, and assorted other influences. From his Medellín base he launched Insurgentes in 2017 together with Defuse, aiming to overturn conventional Western notions of Latin music, and supplied the label's opening trio of EPs while also featuring on the 2018 Medellín Rave Society compilation. A short relocation to Barcelona for master's studies preceded his 2019 Mutek appearance. His debut album Grial surfaced in 2020. Alongside Lomalinda and Nyksan he created TraTraTrax as an Insurgentes sublabel; that venture ultimately replaced its parent and earned comparable esteem. The Escándaloo EP, issued by Voam in 2023, spotlighted his daring sound design within some of his most direct, floor-oriented material, while Breathe... Godspeed arrived on Timedance the following year and secured wider recognition.
