Biography
Joe Haege, guitarist for both 31Knots and Menomena, channels his electronic inclinations through the Portland, Oregon project known as Vin Blanc. By infusing synth pop with progressive touches, the music achieves a distinctive duality of chill and inviting textures, combining precise electronic programming and organic instrumentation into a rhythmically mechanical groove. Haege captured much of his first Vin Blanc effort, Chroma Key, inside a van during a European trek alongside 31Knots, with the album appearing via Polyvinyl in 2011.
