Biography
Violet Blend arose in 2014 by fusing alternative rock, glam rock, sludge, punk, and metal, rapidly establishing itself at the forefront of Italy’s hard rock circuit. The group’s first album, White Mask, surfaced in 2017, with the intense and stylistically wide-ranging Demons arriving in 2021.
Assembled that year in Florence around Giada Celeste Chelli on vocals and piano, Daniele Cristellon on guitar, Ferruccio Baroni on bass, and Michel Agostini on drums, the quartet sharpened its abilities in modest clubs before earning a prominent support slot for Radiohead at the 2017 I-Days rock festival. Following a contract with Eclipse Records, Violet Blend put out its debut full-length, White Mask, in 2018. Lyrically incisive and full of dynamic shifts, the record probed the fabricated stories and warped self-perception fostered by social media exchanges. For the next album, Demons in 2021, the musicians again turned inward, employing demon masks drawn from global mythologies to illustrate the extremes to which individuals will go in concealing their genuine natures.
