Biography
Forming rapidly in San Francisco as a punk quartet in 1996, Visitor 42 fused elements from many other styles into their overall sound and managed to compose and capture their debut album during a single weekend. They spent the ensuing years sharpening their concerts, which allowed 1999's Heavy Handed Hospitality to display tighter songwriting alongside calmer stage energy. Online attention for the track "United Police States" prompted the group to visit college stations and sustain promotional efforts across the following years. Butterflower Records issued the quartet's third album, Monkeys Throw Shit, in the summer of 2002.
