The vocal ensemble Voces Suaves specializes in historically informed readings of Renaissance and Baroque repertoire, with particular emphasis on the Italian madrigal and the vocal works of the early German Baroque. The group maintains recording relationships with both the Arcana and Claves labels; its 2024 release, Bach's Roots: Early Influences on the Young Master, appeared on Arcana.

Baritone Tobias Wicky established Voces Suaves in Basel, Switzerland, in 2012. A majority of its members maintain ties to the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. The ensemble comprises eight core singers, expanding or contracting according to the demands of individual programs, and regularly engages instrumentalists for targeted projects. In 2016 the singers elected to operate without a standing music director, shaping their programs collectively and assuming shared responsibility for artistic decisions. That same year they issued their first recording, From Bologna to Beromünster: Maurizio Cazzati - Mass & Psalms, Op. 36. Many of their programs have centered on lesser-known Baroque composers; Cazzati, a northern Italian figure active in the mid-seventeenth century, is one such example, as are Stefano Bernardi, Giaches De Wert, and Giovanni Croce.

Between 2014 and 2016 Voces Suaves received support from the Emerging European Ensembles Project, eeemerging. The group has appeared frequently at early-music festivals across Europe, among them Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht, the Festival d'Ambronay, and the Innsbruck Early Music Festival. Larger-scale works have involved partnerships with the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, Concerto Romano, and Capriccio Stravaganza. Several albums have been made for Arcana, including the 2022 release Giaches de Wert: Versi d'Amore - Late Madrigals and Canzonette; the 2024 album Bach's Roots: Early Influences on the Young Master was recorded in collaboration with the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin.
