Voorhees

Voorhees came together as a hardcore band in Durham, England, back in 1991. During the decade that followed, the outfit drew comparable attention for its perpetually shifting roster and its steady stream of recordings. These encompassed EPs such as 1993's Violent, 1997's What You See Is What You Get, 1999's Fireproof, and 2000's Bookburner, plus albums including 1994's Spilling Blood Without Reason, 1996's Smiling at Death, 1999's 13, and 2001's Crystal Lake's Legacy, each one overflowing with hateful hardcore fury. Ian, the vocalist, served as the sole consistent member across that span. By September 2001 he stood alone after guitarists Rich and James, bassist Steve, and drummer Dave all left to launch a new group called the Horror. The final three also comprise hard rockers the Sex Maniacs.
