Biography
Wadsworth Mansion, a rock band based in Providence, Rhode Island, scored its breakthrough in 1970 via the Top 10 single "Sweet Mary." Assembled that year around Steve Jablecki on vocals, guitar, and keyboards, brother Mike on drums, Wayne Gagnon on guitar, and John Poole on bass, the group moved quickly to issue "Sweet Mary," then followed it with a self-titled debut album that contained the additional singles "Michigan Harry Slaughter," "Havin' Such a Good Time," and "Nine on the Line." Although the LP marked the outfit's lone full-length release, Wadsworth Mansion also put out a handful of other singles before disbanding in 1972.
