After many years advancing distinctive forms of popular music as both a producer and a record executive, Wally Brill issued his debut album under his own name in 1997, The Covenant, which blended electronica with traditional Jewish music. During his tenure as A&R director at A&M Records across the United States and United Kingdom, he also took on production, engineering, and mixing duties throughout the 1980s and 1990s for releases featuring artists including Henry Badowski, Annabel Lamb, the Sound, Ofra Haza, Voice Farm, and American Music Club. By the latter part of the 1990s, Brill shifted focus away from the music business toward automated telephonic voice technologies, where he developed corporate computer answering systems and ultimately established Voice Partners to pursue that endeavor.
