Biography
In 2002, longtime associates Krister Svensson and Magnus Karnock launched Wan Light in Stockholm, Sweden. The pair assembled a mournful, austere set of acoustic guitar-driven, synth-kissed songs that nodded to acts like Loney, Dear and Songs of Green Pheasant, and they prepared their first single, "Get It Straighter," by the next year. That release received substantial airplay across their homeland and opened the door for Wan Light's debut full-length, Let's Wake Up Somewhere Else, which appeared in 2004. The EP That Grim Reality followed shortly afterward, while the band's second full-length album, Carmaline, reached stores in Sweden during 2005.
