Biography
Shortly after Sprocket Wheels disbanded, guitarist Shimo launched Water Closet to sustain a touring rock and roll existence along Japan’s coastline. The band merges chaotic emo-pop with comparisons to Rites of Spring, J-Church, and Fuel, driven by Asuka’s soulful female vocals. Captivated by Water Closet’s debut West Coast tour in 1998, Broken Rekids issued the American debut full-length “Time is Cool” the next year. ~ Mike DaRonco
