Biography
Originating from France, We Were Evergreen function as an experimental indie pop trio that merges folk-tinged melodic pop with electronic instruments and varied rhythmic patterns. Established in Paris during 2008, the group consists of Michael Liot on vocals and guitars, Fabienne Débarre handling vocals and keyboards, and William Serfass covering vocals, percussion, and bass. Consistent festival slots at events including Lovebox Festival, CMJ, SXSW, and others helped the trio develop a dedicated following over time. Their first recording, a self-titled EP, appeared in 2008 and was succeeded by Flings in 2010 along with Leeway in 2013. The year 2014 brought their initial full-length release, the album Towards, issued through Island/Universal.
