Biography
Operating under the Wechsel Garland name, Jorg Follert produces melodic electronic-leaning music that merges organic and synthetic textures via instruments such as organ, accordion, acoustic guitar, melodica, and Fender Rhodes. The Cologne-based producer had already put out a record as Wunder on Karaoke Kalk in 1998 before delivering the initial Wechsel Garland album on Morr Music in 2000. Those Wechsel Garland pieces originated as commissioned material for a ballet production. Returning to Karaoke Kalk, he released the second Wechsel Garland LP, Liberation Von History, in 2002. Follert additionally creates graphic designs for LP sleeves and has contributed to the German music television channel VIVA.
