Biography
In her hometown of Nottingham, England, jazz-pop chanteuse Rachel Foster belonged to the vocal group Shod Collective during the late '90s, at which point she met producer Andy Cato. One half of Groove Armada, Cato responded strongly to Foster's warm presentation and therefore the two launched a creative partnership without delay. Their project, the Weekend Players, delivers a sultry blend of Portishead and Violet Indiana; the pair issued its first recording, Pursuit of Happiness, in March 2003.
