Biography
Born on March 14, 1974, in Redlands, CA, singer Wendy López began formal music study at age four through piano instruction and guitar lessons. During childhood she performed regularly in a neighborhood church choir, later joining her high school vocal ensemble. That same pursuit carried her into San Diego University’s chorus, where she spent two years and traveled with the group across the United Kingdom. After completing Castilian studies at Málaga’s University, López grew drawn to the Hispanic community; combined with her faith, this prompted a move to South America as a missionary. While based in Quito, Ecuador, she joined Arbol Records and issued her debut album, Entre el Cielo y la Tierra, a collection of acoustic songs in both English and Spanish.
