Wesley Joseph works across rap, singing, production, and filmmaking, shaping his tracks and visuals into surreal reflections on ordinary ideas and daily events. The 2021 release Ultramarine, his first album, merges rap with futuristic R&B and dance music while drawing on contributions from Jorja Smith, Joy Orbison, and Leon Vynehall.

Raised in the Birmingham region, Joseph joined the hip-hop collective OG Horse that also featured his longtime associate Jorja Smith. He relocated to London in 2016 to pursue film studies and simultaneously began making beats on a laptop at home. In 2020 he wrote, directed, and scored the short film Pandomony, which examines the emotional experience of loss inside the Black community. The same year brought his first single, “Imaginary Friends,” along with “Martyr” featuring Monks and “Ghostin’,” co-produced by Joy Orbison. Ultramarine, his debut full-length project, followed in 2021 and added further appearances by Smith, Leon Vynehall, and Dave Okumu.
