Biography
Formed in Wellington during 2022, the New Zealand quartet Wet Denim quickly established itself with lush, captivating alt rock marked by expansive pop instincts. The lineup features vocalist Nick Goodwin alongside guitarist and keyboardist Luca Crampton and the Ledword brothers—Joe on bass and Jack on drums. Their self-titled debut EP appeared before the year ended, setting the stage for a string of energetic concerts and instantly memorable tracks. The group characterizes its sound as “two-thirds rock, one-third pop, and three-thirds catchy as fuck,” a combination that built a loyal regional audience and ultimately secured a contract with Universal. The label released the band’s follow-up EP, On the Line, in 2024.
