Biography
For years Wharton Tiers has functioned as engineer, guitar technician and generator of noise, collaborating with leading figures from the East Coast alternative and noise scenes such as Glenn Branca, Sonic Youth, Dinosaur, Jr., Helmet, Unsane, Gumball, Quicksand, Shudder to Think and Run On. Across five years in the 1990s he also developed independent material with an unusual four-guitar group, issuing the resulting album Brighter than Life in 1996.
