Biography
Providence, RI-based White Mice pursue a noisy and experimental strain of grindcore that relies solely on bass, drums, and an oscillator. The trio heightens the demented presentation by performing in mouse costumes resembling blood-soaked specimens that have only narrowly escaped a laboratory. Listeners therefore frequently maintain that the group must be witnessed in concert to convey the complete White Mice effect, a conviction reinforced by past bills shared with Dropdead and Lightning Bolt. The lineup of Mouseferatu, Euronymouse, and Anonymouse initially issued multiple studio and live recordings on its own, among them Mouse of Mendes and the 2004 holiday release Do They Know It's Christmice?, before signing with Load Records for the 2005 album Assphixxxeatateshun. The label’s second White Mice title, BLasssTPhlEgMEICE, surfaced in February 2007.
