Embodying a gritty, unrefined style of funk, the Whitefield Brothers produce earthy, instrument-driven grooves that incorporate rhythmic influences from Afro-Caribbean traditions. Formed as a side endeavor by the German funk outfit Poets of Rhythm, this project marks a departure in creative direction from the band's prior work.
